About Us

Rosewood Residential Care Home is in Greenhithe, Kent, and provides a home for older people who need daily support, as well as for younger adults whose needs suit a residential setting. We care for people living with dementia and we offer respite stays for those needing shorter term support.

We want this to feel like a house people live in rather than an institution they have been placed in. Residents bring their own furniture and pictures where they can, keep their own routines and decide how their days go. Some like to be in the thick of things, others prefer their own company, and both are perfectly welcome here.

Our approach to dementia is built on knowing people. We ask families to tell us about a person's life, their work, their music, their habits and their dislikes, because that knowledge is what allows staff to offer comfort that actually comforts. We keep surroundings calm and familiar and we never rush.

Meals are prepared on the premises and we take account of what people actually enjoy eating. We work closely with local GPs and community health teams so that changes in health are spotted early, and we keep families closely involved.

The Care Quality Commission most recently rated us good overall. You would be very welcome to visit, meet the team and see whether the home feels right.
