About Us

At Springfield House, we provide residential care for adults in the heart of Birchington, Kent. We support people with learning disabilities, autism, and physical disabilities, and we are particularly proud of the work we do with younger adults who deserve a home that genuinely understands their needs and respects who they are.

We also offer respite care, which gives families and regular carers the opportunity to rest while knowing their loved one is in a safe, welcoming place. Whether someone stays with us for a short period or makes Springfield House their long term home, we want every person who walks through our door to feel comfortable and valued from day one.

Our approach is straightforward. We get to know each person as an individual, understanding what matters to them day to day, what they enjoy, what they find difficult, and how they like to live their life. Care plans are built around the person rather than the other way around, and we involve residents and their families as much as possible in every decision.

We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good. That outcome reflects the genuine effort our team puts in every day, not just in meeting standards but in creating an atmosphere where people feel at home.

Birchington is a lovely part of Kent and our residents are encouraged to be part of the local community where they wish to be. We believe that living well means more than just being looked after. It means having choices, maintaining relationships, and doing things that bring a sense of purpose and enjoyment.

If you would like to find out more about what we offer or arrange a visit, we would be very happy to hear from you.
