About Us

We are a residential care home in Alton, Hampshire, providing a home for older people and for younger adults who need support with daily life, including people living with dementia. We also offer respite stays for people who need care for a period rather than permanently.

A care home is somebody's home, not a ward, and we try to keep that clear in how we run the place. People bring their own belongings and keep their own habits. Families come and go rather than visiting at set times. Where someone needs help with washing, dressing, medication or moving about, it is given in a way that respects them, and where they can manage alone we leave them to it.

We would rather be open with you about our regulatory position. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We are working through what was raised and we do not want anybody to find that out after they have made a decision. If you are looking at us for someone in your family, ask about it and we will tell you exactly what is being done.

The most useful thing you can do is come and see the place, talk to staff and see how people here seem. Please contact us and we will arrange a visit at a time that works for you.
