About Oak Tree Mews
Oak Tree Mews is a residential care home in Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire. We provide residential care for older people who have reached the point where managing alone has become difficult, and caring for people living with dementia is a large part of our work. We are not a nursing home. What we offer is residential care: help with washing and dressing, medication given on time, meals cooked here, laundry done, and staff on duty through the night as well as the day. Doctors and district nurses come in when clinical care is needed. For most older people that turns out to be exactly the right level of support, and it leaves far more of their independence intact. Dementia care rests on consistency and on knowing the person. A familiar order to the day, the same faces turning up and surroundings that are easy to read will settle somebody more surely than anything else. We take time to learn about a person's working life, family and habits, because that is what helps us understand them when words become difficult. Moreton is a pleasant town to live in and we help people get out into it where they want to go. Respite and short stays are available, for planned breaks and for recovery. Please ring us if you would like to look round Oak Tree Mews.
