About Us
Here at Shaftesbury Anvil House, we provide residential care for a wide range of people in the heart of Billericay, Essex. Our home supports older adults, younger adults, and people living with dementia, learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments. We also offer respite care for those who need a short term stay, whether that is to recover after a period of illness or to give family carers a much needed break.
We are proud to have received a rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the effort and commitment of everyone who works here. That rating matters to us, but what matters more is that the people who live here feel safe, respected, and genuinely at home.
We know that moving into a care home, or finding the right place for someone you love, is not a decision anyone takes lightly. We try to make that process as straightforward and honest as possible. When someone comes to visit us, we encourage them to ask questions, look around properly, and get a real sense of who we are before making any decisions.
Life at Shaftesbury Anvil House is built around the individual. We take time to understand each person's history, preferences, and routines, because good care cannot be one size fits all. Whether someone needs a great deal of support or just a little help day to day, we aim to preserve their independence and dignity at every stage.
Our team works hard to create an atmosphere that feels warm and unhurried. We are always happy to hear from prospective residents and their families, so please do get in touch if you would like to find out more about what we can offer.
