About Us
The Limes is a residential care home in Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire. We are home to older people who need support with daily life, including many living with dementia, and we offer respite stays for people recovering from illness or giving a family carer a break. You will want to know about our last inspection, so we will put it first. The Care Quality Commission rated us requires improvement overall. We took the findings seriously rather than defending ourselves, and the improvement work has gone into the parts residents and families actually notice. That means safe and accurate medication practice, keeping staffing consistent so people are cared for by a team that knows them, and making sure that when a resident or relative raises something it reaches a manager and gets a proper answer. Everything else about the home carries on. People here choose when to get up, what to eat and how they spend their time, and rooms are furnished with their own belongings. For residents living with dementia, familiarity does most of the work, so we keep our team settled and learn each person's history rather than just their care needs. Health needs are managed alongside local GPs and community nurses, and we contact families early when something changes. If you are considering a home in the East Riding, please come and visit, ask us about the inspection directly and judge us as we are now.
