About Abbey Rose
Abbey Rose is a residential care home in Ringwood, Dorset. We look after older people who need support with everyday living, including people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. The mix of people we support is wide, and we think that is a strength. It means we plan around the individual rather than the category. What does somebody need, what can they still do perfectly well for themselves, and what do they want their day to look like. We aim for a calm, ordinary household. Residents bring their own belongings, keep their own routines, choose how they spend their time and see visitors when they like. Meals are planned around what people actually enjoy, and there is company for anyone who wants it and quiet for anyone who does not. For residents with dementia, familiar surroundings, unhurried staff and a predictable day do more good than anything else we could offer. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places, whether for a planned family break or for support while someone regains strength after illness. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and see us at a time that suits you, talk to residents and relatives, and ask us anything you like.
