About Tracey House
Tracey House is a residential care home in Newton Abbot providing care for older people, including those whose physical disability means they need help to move about safely. People usually come to us at a point when living at home has become a strain, either for them or for the family trying to hold it together. Our job is to take that weight off and to do it without taking over somebody's life in the process. Residents keep their own routines as far as possible, have their own room and their own things, and are supported to carry on doing whatever they still can. Staff help with washing and dressing, with transfers and moving safely, with medication and with meals and drinks. They are trained for the needs they support and they are here at all hours, which is often the reassurance families have been missing for a long while. Meals are cooked on the premises and there is a real choice. There is company for those who want it and peace for those who do not, and visitors are welcome without ceremony. Respite and short stays can be arranged for people needing care for a limited period. If you would like to see the home, please telephone us and we will arrange a visit.
