About Us

100 Woodcote Grove Road is a care home in Coulsdon, providing residential care for adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people living with mental ill health and residents living with dementia. We also offer respite stays.

Ours is a house in a residential street rather than a facility set apart, and we think that matters. People living here are neighbours as well as residents, and the ordinary business of being part of a road, saying hello, going to the shops, being recognised locally, does more for somebody's sense of themselves than any programme of activities.

Support is shaped person by person. Some people need close help with personal care and daily routines; others mainly need someone dependable in the background. Where dementia and a learning disability sit together, which is more common than many people realise, care needs to be patient and steady rather than clever, and the team needs to know the individual well enough to spot changes early.

We keep our staff team as consistent as we can, because familiarity is the foundation everything else rests on, particularly for autistic adults.

Respite stays are arranged carefully, with visits beforehand, rather than at short notice into an unfamiliar house.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are considering a placement in this part of Croydon, please come and see us on an ordinary day.
