About Us

Beeston Drive in Winsford is a small residential care home. We support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, and we offer respite stays for people who need a short break or whose family carer needs one. We will be straightforward about our last inspection. The Care Quality Commission rated us requires improvement overall. We accepted the findings and worked through them with the team. The effort has gone into the things that affect the people living here directly, which are safe medication practice, keeping staffing consistent so people are supported by workers who know them well, and making sure that when a resident, a relative or an advocate raises something it reaches a manager and gets a proper answer. What we are working towards has not changed. This is a house on an ordinary street and we run it as a home. Everyone has their own room and their own belongings, and a support plan written with them covering how they like to be supported, what they enjoy and what they want their week to contain. Where somebody does not use speech, we learn how they do communicate and make sure the whole team knows. Where someone becomes distressed we look for the cause, and any restriction on freedom is agreed properly and reviewed. Families, advocates and commissioners are welcome to visit and see the house as it is now.
