About Us
The Chase Care Home is a residential home in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, looking after older people who need support with day to day living.
Much of our work is with residents living with dementia. We have shaped the house and the routine around that, with calm surroundings, clear ways of finding your way about, staff who know each person's history, and time given rather than grudged. We also support people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss, adjusting how we help and how we communicate so that nobody is left out of what is going on around them.
We think a care home should feel like a home. Residents keep their own belongings, their own routines and their own visitors. Meals are something to look forward to rather than something to get through, and there is always the option of a quiet corner for anyone who would rather not be in the thick of things.
Families are part of this. We keep relatives informed, we welcome them at any reasonable hour, and we ask for their knowledge of the person, because it usually tells us more than any assessment form.
Short respite stays are available alongside permanent places.
The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection.
