About Inspire
Inspire is a residential care home in Bolton supporting adults with a wide range of needs, including older people, adults with a learning disability or autism, people living with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment. We support younger adults as well as older residents, and we take respite bookings. What holds that mix together is a simple idea. This is where people live, so people decide how they live here. We support rather than manage. That means asking before doing, offering real choices rather than token ones, and accepting that a person is entitled to change their mind. For residents with a learning disability or autism, we work hard on communication, on predictable routines and on giving proper warning before anything changes. For people with a sensory impairment we think about how a room sounds and looks, how we approach someone and how information reaches them in a form they can use. For those with a physical disability, we look at equipment, layout and independence, because being able to do something yourself is usually worth more than having it done for you. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was good. If you are considering Inspire for yourself or a relative, please come and visit. Meeting the people who live here is the best way to understand what we are like.
